who we are
Our team comprises investors, seasoned entrepreneurs, and deal-makers with backgrounds at leading hedge funds, private equity firms, investment houses, and top-tier management consulting firms.
The family invests in various asset classes, including directly into operating businesses.
For directly held companies, M17 manages acquisitions and works alongside management, often helping to implement buy-and-build strategies. We target controlling positions (100% preferred) while remaining flexible in our transaction structures. Our focus is on investing in businesses that operate in industries with sustainably high barriers to entry, as well as companies undergoing transition, be that successions or corporate divestures ("hidden champions").
When necessary—or for highly attractive opportunities—we can be hands-on, particularly in restructurings, turnarounds, carve-outs, or fast-track deals, provided there is an adequate margin of safety, acceptable risks, and strong potential for long-term value creation.
